.36" Fossil True Weevil (Curculionidae) Elytron- Mort d'Imbert, France

This is a fossil true weevil (order Coleoptera, family Curculionidae) elytron (wing sheath) collected from the Oligocene-aged deposits of Bois d'Asson, France. The light-brown preservation contrasts nicely against rock. This is part of an old collection that we recently acquired.

This specimen comes with an acrylic display stand.
