16.4" Wide, Ordovician Brittle Star Multiple Plate - Morocco

This is a 16.4" wide plate containing around a dozen complete fossil brittle stars plus a couple partials. It comes from the Upper Ordovician aged Kataoua Formation of Morocco. The brittle star fossils are highly detailed and their orange coloration is due to to the oxidization of iron pyrite. The largest of the brittle stars is 5.2" wide.

This plate comes with a display stand.
