Cretaceous, Sea Urchin (Goniopygus) Fossils - Morocco

These are small fossil echinoderms (sea urchins) from Talsint, Morocco. They average about 1/2 to 3/4", though some may be larger than this. Most are of the species Goniopygus menardi and they are Late Cretaceous in age (Turonian Stage), or approximately 89-93 million years old.
