Magnificent, 11.4" Tall Polished Munjina Stone - Australia

This is a large, beautiful section of Munjina Stone that has been polished to a mirror like finish. It was collected from the Chichester Ranges of the Pilbara region in Western Australia. Munjina Stone is a silicified pelite (mudstone), and is known to cause difficulty when trying to distinguish it from mookaite, a form of Australian jasper.

This specimen is 10.8" tall, 11.4" wide and at its thickest point, is 4.4". The base has been cut flat to allow for aesthetic presentation of the polished face.
