3.1" Sparkling Quartz "Stalactite" Formation - Morocco

This is a beautiful, sparkling, quartz "stalactite" formation from Sidi Rahal, Morocco. These formations are found in hollow cavities in the basalt. The stalactite formations are partially covered with a second generation of druse quartz crystals and the presence of iron oxide gives it a slight orange color.
