Two "Devil Horned" Cyphaspis Trilobites - Mrakib, Morocco

This is a nice pair of Cyphaspis walteri trilobites from the Bou Dib Formation near Mrakib, Morocco. This species is sometimes referred to as the "Devil Horn" Cyphaspis for obvious reasons. The spines have been prepared free-standing and there is only about 2% restoration along repaired cracks.

This species was finally formally described in 2014. A link to the paper can be found below.
