This is three fossil sea cucumber (Achistrum) from the Carbondale Formation near Essex, Illinois preserved in an ironstone nodule. The largest sea cucumber is 2.6" long.

Sea cucumbers are sea floor dwelling echinoderms with tube bodies, leathery skin and an endoskeleton.
