Large 6.6" Perisphinctes Ammonite - Jurassic

This is a large, 6.6" wide fossil ammonite of the genus Perisphinctes. The Perisphinctes are Late Jurassic in age (~163 million years old) and are collected in Madagascar. They have a nice yellowish-white shell preservation and distinctive ridges. The exterior of the specimen has been lightly polished for aesthetic purposes.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
