Large, 2.62" Fossil Mako Shark Tooth - Georgia
This is a large fossil Mako shark tooth from the Miocene aged Hawthorn Formation of Georgia. It might either be considered a tooth of the Shortfin Mako (Isurus desori) or a narrower form of the Broad Toothed Mako (Isurus hastalis) depending on who you ask.
