Fossil Weevil & Unidentified Larva - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a detailed, .26" fossil Weevil often referred to as a Snout Beetle from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. There is also a larger, unidentified larvae fossil associated with it.

While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
