Fossil Spider Exuvia (Araneae) and Coprolites in Baltic Amber
This is a beautifully detailed, 44 million year old fossil spider exuvia (order Araneae) and coprolites (fossil poop), preserved in Baltic amber. The fossil spider exuvia itself is about 3mm wide. Exuviae are the remains of an exoskeleton following the molting of insects, crustaceans, and arachnids.
As a reminder, most inclusions in Baltic amber are extremely small so magnification will be needed to make out much detail. Included with your order is a physical photo of the specimen, and we will also email you a high resolution digital copy.
