These are segments and sections of an early plant called Zosterophyllum myretonianum, still embedded into the rock. It was collected from the Aberlemno Quarry near Angus, Scotland. The Aberlemno Quarry is regarded to have the best examples of Zosterophyllum anywhere, though other instances occur in South Wales and the Czech Republic. The plant material is Early Devonian in age (~410 Million Years). The dark plant segments contrast well against the gray rock material.
Comes with acrylic stand.
