9.1" Tall, Petrified Wood (With Fossil Fungus) Bookends - Arizona

This is a very unique pair of petrified wood bookends. The are made out of 225 million year old, petrified Araucarioxylon arizonacum wood from Arizona. What makes them so unique is the wood also contains fossilized fungus (the circular formations). This parasitic fungus grew on the tree while it was still alive and has been named Polyporites wardii. The bookends are each 9.1" tall, 5" deep and 1.7" wide.
