8.5" Ordovician, Fossil Brittle Star Multiple Plate - Morocco

This is a plate of several brittlestar fossils from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. There are four mostly complete specimen on the limestone up to about 3" wide. The orange/brown coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. There are a couple of repaired cracks in the rock.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
