.51" Raptor (Paronychodon?) Tooth - Hell Creek Formation, Montana

This is a .51" tooth from a raptor, possibly of the genus Paronychodon. It has excellent enamel preservation and little feeding wear at the tip. It comes in an acrylic bubble display case.

Many of the raptor teeth found in the Hell Creek Formation show morphological differences that are often attributed to taxon from other formations of different ages. Among those are Saurornitholestes, Richardoestesia, Richardoestesia, and Paronychodon. Remains of all of these species are fragmentary, some known only from teeth, thus they have not been formally described from the Hell Creek Formation. That is the reason we have left a question mark on the species.
