5.4" Iridescent Deschaesites Ammonite Cluster - Russia
This is a beautiful cluster of iridescent ammonite fossils (Deshayesites deshayesi) from the Lower Cretaceous deposits of the Volga River in Russia. The largest ammonite on the piece is 2.4" wide and the entire cluster is 5.4x4.5" Much of the shell on the ammonite fossils has an iridescent, mother of pearl look to it. Really a gorgeous, showy piece.
