2.7" Running Rhino (Hyracodon) Jaw Section - South Dakota
This is a 2.7" long, running rhino (Hyracodon) jaw section from South Dakota. It is the left mandible (lower jaw) with three teeth. The bone is in good condition and has rock from where it was found still attached. Lack of wear on the cusps of the teeth suggest this specimen is from a very young individual.
