2.2" Hoploscaphites Brevis Ammonite - South Dakota

This is a beautiful Hoploscaphites brevis from the Pierre Shale of South Dakota. It was found inside of a hard concretion and the rock had to be meticulously prepared away. This particular specimen has a segment from a different ammonite imbedded into the sutured end of the ammonite.
